Restorative Materials & Techniques (12 hrs)
This unit will teach students the types of materials used in restorative procedures including; bonding agents, amalgam, and composite restorations. At the conclusion of this course students will have been taught to
- Identify different types of cements and know what they are used for
- Mix cements for their proper uses
- Make a tray set-up for an amalgam restoration
- Make a tray-set up for a composite restoration
- Prepare and place a toff el mi re matrix
- Assist Dr. with amalgam restoration
- Assist Dr. with composite restoration
